The mixture was filtered through Celite, diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water, dried (Na2SO4), concentrated under reduced pressure, and chromatographed (3:1 to 1:1 hexanes/ethyl acetate) to afford the product (144 mg, 88%): +APcI MS (M+1)+592; 1H NMR (CDCl3) delta: 8.04 (s, 2H), 5.83 (br s, 1H), 3.92 (s, 3H), 2.43 (s, 3H), 2.24 (s, 3H), 1.53 (s, 9H).
